Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hubcap with which the rim of a vehicle made of air permeable light-weight alloy is covered and which can protect a disk brake from rust due to salt during marine transportation.
SOLUTION: A seat 7 formed with a mold made of a thermoplastic material is pressed to the central part of a wheel 1 under pressure by means of a fixing stud 9, so that it is attached onto a wheel bolt or nut, and/or into the cavity of a counter sink. Further, a grip 11 for removing the seat after its use, a bead 14 extending circumferentially and radially for strengthening an area near the central part and a circumferential channel 13 to cover an air injection valve are provided.
