Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attenuate lung capillary leak without providing undesirable effect on antitumor efficiency of interleukin-2 by administering methotrexate to mammals. CONSTITUTION: A composition of a dosage unit form containing methotrexate of the formula a chemical name: N-[4-[[(2,4-diamino-6pteridinyl) methyl]methylamino]benzoyl]-L-glutamic acid} of preferably 0.025-2.0 mg/kg with a carrier is administered to mammals to carry out the objective treatment. When interleukin-2 is administrated, the administration of the composition is preferably carried out 1 hr before the administration of the interleukin-2.
