Abstract:

To provide a method for detecting the structural anomaly of a chromosome by using a labelled probe for bonding with a nucleic acid, and a device for the same.

The method for detecting the structural anomaly of the chromosome is characterized in that in the method for detecting a gene translocation in which the structure of the chromosome is abnormal, the mixture of a plurality of nucleic acid probes, a probe straddling over a prescribed cut off region, a first probe straddling over from the upstream of the cut off point to the cut off point, and a second probe from the downstream of the cut off point to the front of the cut off point or straddling over it are labelled with different labelling substances. Thus, in detecting the structural anomaly of the chromosome by bonding the probe obtained by labelling the nucleic acid or a nucleic acid analog with a complemental chromosomal region, the frequency of developing pseudo positive is decreased and it becomes possible to detect the fine structural anomaly.
