Abstract:
To reduce fluoroscopic noise, when a probing needle being used by a physician or a guide-type medical instrument for medical imaging is in action.
Visibility of an object in a fluoroscopic image is improved by an action detecting map generated from an image preceding to the image to be processed in an image series. The detecting map has the same size as that of the image to be processed and is associated with a probability that action has existed in dots during the time for acquisition of two sheets of images for processing to each dot of the image. Using the detecting map, the effect of a mean filter applied to the image to be processed is weighted locally.
