Abstract:

To provide a system for sending to a virtual private network in a data transmission system, by converting data packets, based on IPv4 protocol, into data packets based on IPv6 protocol.

A ST1 (20) and a ST2 (26) operate on an IPv4 protocol base, and a IP switched network 25 operates on a IPv6 protocol base. A PB1 (22), provided between the ST1 (20) and the IP switched network 25, converts the data packets, based on the IPv4 protocol received from the ST1 (20) into the data packets based on the IPv6 protocol, to send them out to the IP switched network 25. A PB2 (28) provided between the IP switched network 25 and the ST2 (26), converts the data packets based on the IPv6 protocol received from the IP switched network into the data packets, based on the IPv4 protocol to transmit to the ST2 (26).
