PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for identifying character string or a plurality of forms with which the form of an object, character and graphic described on the surface of the object and its existing position can be optically detected.
SOLUTION: This device for identifying character string or plural forms is provided with a laser beam source 2, optical hologram preparing system, spatial/optical modulator 9 having a function for performing incoherent/coherent conversion to the character string or the like projected from a miniaturized CR video projector 10 for projecting character string or plural forms fetched from an electronic camera 21 through a laser to interference-enabled video, automatic hologram preparing device 14 of optical conductive plastic or the like, optical system for simultaneously fetching form identification correlative light, two-dimensional optical information detector 20 and identified result processing display device 25.
