To provide a method and device for inhibiting registration variability in speed acceleration/deceleration which ensures the constant stabilization of registration by eliminating a tension variability as a principal factor for registration discrepancy when a printing speed is accelerated or decelerated, and a gravure printing machine.
The gravure printing machine is equipped with a registration control means which performs interprinting unit registration by manipulating the relative phases of plate cylinders based on an operation level calculated by detecting a register mark printed by two mutually adjacent printing units and a tension control means which controls a web tension by manipulating the relative phases of the plate cylinders based on an operation level calculated by detecting a web tension between the printing units. In the method for inhibiting the registration variability in speed acceleration and deceleration, the registration control means is invalidated and the tension control means is validated in printing speed acceleration or deceleration during printing operation. Also, the device using this method and the gravure printing machine equipped with this device are provided.
