To provide a method and a device for processing a hydrogen storage material capable of continuously carrying out a hydrogen storing process and a discharging process without using a carrier gas, consequently, without generating a trouble due to clogging of a valve with the hydrogen storage material.
In this hydrogen storage material processing method for repeatedly carrying out the storing process for storing hydrogen by cooling and the discharging process for discharging hydrogen by heating, each of housing containers 4 housing the hydrogen storage material M is positioned in a cooling area 11 and a heating area 12 each other, and the storing process and the discharging process are repeated inside each of the housing containers 4. The hydrogen storage material processing device is provided with the plurality of housing containers 4 for housing the hydrogen storage material M, a cooling means and a heating means. Each of the plurality of housing containers 4 is structured to freely to move in relation to the cooling area 11 and the heating area 12 and to move each other, and each of the housing containers 4 is provided with an inlet 5 and an outlet 6 for supplying hydrogen.
