To provide a radio communication method capable of avoiding collision with a beacon from the radio communication of other radio networks even if each radio communication device in a radio network transmits the beacon, and to provide a radio communication device.
The radio communication device comprises a beacon receiver 201 that receives the beacon and extracts a frame, a frame determination section 202 for determining whether the extracted frame is a frame for requesting the transmission and reception of data or a frame for notifying the collision with the beacon of other networks, a frame configuration section 205 for generating a frame for relaying a collision notification and a movement notification to a new beacon transmission period when the collision notification is determined by the frame determination section, and a beacon transmission instruction section 206 for instructing the transmission of the frame at beacon transmission timing. Therefore, the notifications can be relayed, thus enabling all radio communication devices in the same network to move to the new beacon transmission period.
