Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate easily and effectively non-magnetic electrically conductive items by passing the flow of non-magnetic electrically conductive materials adjacent to a linear motor, reacting them with the electromagnetic flux field generated by the motor and controlling to separate only a predetermined electrically conductive item from the flow of materials in a predetermined direction for a predetermined distance.

CONSTITUTION: Solid metals and scrap metals containing components to be used as buckle which have come out of a die-cast machine 1 are discharged to an oscillatory conveyer 2 while they are still hot and carried together to a small linear motor 3. By selecting a type of coil for the linear motor 3 so as to generate appropriate induction effect but not to cause the same effect on the scrap metals depending on the size and mass and to generate electric current in the buckle which gives appropriate power to a necessary component or the buckle to be removed from the linear motor 3 and carried to an appropriate collector 4 which is located on one side of the motor, the scrap metals from which the buckle is removed slide down into a container 5 situated at the end of the oscillatory conveyer 2.
