PURPOSE: To easily obtain dump data and printing data by directly printing out a character code by a 1st printer and printing out printing data obtained converting the character code into an image by a 2nd printer.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of executing printing based upon the same character code in the case of driving the 1st and 2nd printers. 8a, 8b in parallel so as to execute printing based upon the character code stored in a main storage device 4, the character code is directly printed out by the 1st printer 8a and printing data obtained by converting the character code into an image are printed out by the 2nd printer. Since the setting of the printers to a specific mode or the like is completely unnecessary, a required printing result, i.e. both the printing data and dump data, can easily be obtained.
