Abstract:
To provide a method for wrinkling or pleating a cellulosic fiber struc ture, by which wrinkles or pleats having excellent durability can be formed on the cellulosic fiber structure without using a resin-processing agent and without accompanying the deterioration of strength and which can also be applied to a dyed fiber structure or printed fiber structure.
This method for wrinkling or pleating the cellulosic fiber structure treats the cellulosic fiber structure with liquid ammonia, wrinkling or pleating the treated structure, and then treating the structure with steam at 98 to 150°C for 5 min to 4 hr.
