Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To film a fuel electrode with a uniform film thickness in a solid electrolyte type fuel cell tube.
SOLUTION: A method for filming a fuel electrode of a slid electrolyte type fuel cell with nickel, cobalt, an alloy with nickel or cobalt as a main ingredient or powder of a cermet of either one of them is mixed with a powder of YSZ (yttria-stabilized zirconia) in a dipping process to make a binder, and by dipping a base body 10 in fuel electrode material mixed liquid 13 which organic solvent mixed if necessary, the fuel electrode material mixed liquid 13 is bonded easily throughout an inside parimeter surface of the base body 10, even if its inner diameter is small. After this, by rotating the base body 10, while holding it horizontally to dry the fuel electrode material bonded to the inside perimeter of the base, a fuel electrode material film which is uniform and has good adhesion to the inside perimeter of the base body is formed. As a result, a fuel electrode film which is uniform and has good adhesion to the inside perimeter of the base body can be formed by baking the fuel electrode material film.
