Abstract:
PURPOSE: To grind rolling rolls at high speed by jetting a slurry of abrasive grain to rolling rolls while rotating the rolling rolls mounted on a rolling mill.
CONSTITUTION: A device for jetting a slurry X of abrasive grain is constituted of headers 10, 12 of highly pressurized water and headers 11, 13 of the slurry X, so that the slurry fed from the headers 11, 13 is jetted to rolling rolls 1, 1' by the highly pressurized water from the headers 10, 12. Then, when a rolling material A is bitten in by the rolls 1, 1', the slurry X is automatically jetted to grind the non-contacting parts of the rolls 1, 1' between them and the material A for every rolling. Further it is preferable to finish the grinding positions by grinding them again.
