Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely identify a mill elongation expression used for position control under pressure in a rolling mill.SOLUTION: An identification method is a method for identifying a mill elongation expression used for a thickness control with respect to a rolled material 5 during rolling by a rolling mill 4 including work rolls 2 and 2. An amount of mill elongation of the rolling machine 4 is measured by bringing the work rolls 2 and 2 into a kiss contact and then applying a rolling load thereto. A relation expression of the amount of mill elongation with respect to the rolling load is identified for each region of three rolling loads divided on the basis of a state of the kiss contact of the work rolls 2 and a back-up roll 3.
