Abstract:

To provide a method of insolubilizing waste casting sand containing fluorine capable of reducing a fluorine elution concentration, and to provide a method of manufacturing roadbed material utilizing such a method of insolubilizing waste casting sand containing fluorine.

The method of insolubilizing waste casting sand containing fluorine comprises: a pre-treatment process of adding magnesium oxide to waste casting sand containing fluorine; a curing process of curing a mixture obtained in the pretreatment process for a predetermined period; and a post-treatment process of adding blast furnace cement to the mixture cured in the curing process. Further, the method of manufacturing roadbed material comprises: a pre-treatment process of adding magnesium oxide to waste casting sand containing fluorine; a curing process of curing a mixture obtained in the pretreatment process for a predetermined period; and a granulation solidifying process of adding blast furnace cement, aggregate and water to the mixture cured in the curing process.
