Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing a biaxially oriented polyester film which can realize the desired surface roughness (Ra) of a film surface when calcium carbonate is used as a lubricant.

This method is to manufacture a biaxially oriented polyester film containing a calcium carbonate particle. The surface roughness (Ra (unit: nm)) of this film and the ratio (FDR/SDR) of the percentage of longitudinal stretch (FDR) and the percentage of horizontal stretch (SDR), satisfy formula (1)-5≤Ra-32(FDR/SDR)≤15 and formula (2) 0.4≤FDR/SDR≤1 simultaneously.
