Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a brake shoe, capable of achieving economy and low cost by minimizing material to be wasted.
A rectangular metal plate is formed into a cylindrical form, and pressure is added to a roughly center part of height of the cylindrical metal plate to form a dent. Pressure is then added from upper and lower surfaces to crush the dent to form a projected part on an inner surface. A friction member is fixed to or integrated with a flat part of an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical metal surface.
