Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molding of a heat insulating material for casting which can quickly and easily be hardened after molding without needing long time to heating-dry and is safe without using a toxic material.
SOLUTION: The molding of the heat insulating material for casting is manufactured by thermally hardening resin irradiated with micro-wave (30 MHz-30 GHz) after filling mixture containing powdery and granular body containing at least refractory aggregate and liquidized thermoplastic phenolic resin or urethane base resin into a mold. In the above powdery and granular body, if necessary, exothermic material, oxidizing agent, combustion improver, etc., may be further contained.
