Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a polarizer comprising a polyvinylalcohol resin film having a high polarization degree which is dyed with a dichroic dye and treated with boric acid.

The method for manufacturing a polarizer includes a step for adsorbing a dichroic dye to a polyvinyl alcohol resin film having ≥0.02 birefringence Δn and a step for treating the film with boric acid.
