Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of a sliding member superior in manufacturing efficiency, and reducing manufacturing cost; and the sliding member manufactured thereby.

In this manufacturing method of the sliding member having a sliding surface having a smooth part except for a recessed part by distributing the recessed part to form an oil reservoir when mutually sliding with a mating material via a lubricant, the manufacturing method comprises a recessed part forming process of forming the recessed part on the sliding surface, and a projecting part removing process of removing a microscopic projecting part generated on the recessed part periphery by the recessed part forming process by micro-blast processing.
