To provide a vibration isolator manufacturing method which manufactures a vibration isolator which can omit drawing to an outer tubular member and furthermore can secure durability.
The outer tubular member 220 to which a vibration isolating base 230 composed of a rubber-like elastic body and also provided with a through-hole 31 penetratively formed in the axial direction is adhered is retained by a process of retaining the outer tubular member and the retained outer tubular member 220 and an inner tubular member 210 are relatively shifted in the axial direction by a process of press-fitting the inner tubular member. As a result, the inner tubular member 210 is press-fitted into the through-hole 31. The through-hole 31 is enlarged in diameter by the inner tubular member 210 being press-fitted into the through-hole 31 and the vibration isolating base 230 is compressed between the inner tubular member 210 and the outer tubular member 220. The vibration isolator activates a compressive force on an adhesive interface of the outer tubular member 220 and the vibration isolating base 230 and then can eliminate a tensile strain of adhesive interface of the outer tubular member 220 and the vibration isolating base 230 without performing any drawing to the outer tubular member 220 and can secure the durability of the vibration isolator.
