Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wavelength converting casting material capable of manufacturing electroluminescent devices which emit a uniform mixed color and enable mass production with an applicable technical cost and sufficiently reproducible device characteristics.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a wavelength converting casting material comprises dispersing a powder of an inorganic luminescent pigments (6) composed of the group of a rare earth-doped garnet, a rare earth-doped thiogallic acid salt, a rare earth-doped aluminate and/or a rare earth-doped orthosilicate with a particle size of the luminescent pigments of ≤20 μm and a particle diameter d50 value of the luminescent pigments of ≤5 μm, and subjecting the powder of the luminescent pigments to heat treatment at ≥200°C.
