Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING RELATIVE HUMIDITY PARTICULARLY IN RADIOSONDE, AND HUMIDITY DETECTOR USING THE METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3553657
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and a detector for measuring relative humidity particularly suitable for radiosonde.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating material 12 is used between capacitor plates of a detector, and its dielectric constant is a function of a water content to be absorbed by the insulating material 12. The detector 10 is heated with the purpose of eliminating ice, frost or condensed humidity deposited on the surface, periphery or both of the detector. A detector capacitance CM or its portion is heated properly and regularly in correct rhythm. Detection of the detector capacitance CM is executed without measuring detector temperature after the detector capacitance or its portion has been fully cooled to its ambient temperature.
