The method for molding the bar-like timber by using a cylindrical mold having a tapered inner surface of a size for radially reducing in diameter the timber or the like comprises a first step of inserting the timber in a depth coincided with the tapered inner surface from a large inner diameter open end of the mold, a second step of cooling the timber by maintaining the timber in a state in which the timber is inserted, and a third step of pressing out a product timber after molding by a push bar from the small inner diameter side open end of the mold after the second step.
