To provide a method for operating an incinerator and an incinerator, capable of reducing harmful materials in exhaust gas by using a high- temperature exhaust gas, thus reducing the amount of exhaust gas, increasing an agitating effect in a combustion chamber, thus improving the thermal efficiency of all the furnace and making an exhaust gas treatment device compact and stabilizing combustion in the combustion chamber.
Combustion gas in a downstream area in the combustion chamber and/or the exhaust gas re-burnt in an area downstream combustion chamber are extracted and supplied to the combustion chamber by an ejector as an oxidizer. The incinerator has one end side connected to the downstream side area, in the combustion area and/or the area downstream the combustion area and the other end including gas supply piping connected to area combustion chamber, and the ejector provided in the middle part of the gas supply piping for supplying the combustion gas in the downstream side area in the combustion chamber and/or the exhaust gas in the area downstream the combustion camber.
