Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problem that the number of processes to treat the aluminum terminal of an electronic device, etc., various aluminum parts or the aluminum substrate of a magnetic disk is increased, productivity is lowered, and the cost is increased because a zinc crystal grain is not uniformly deposited on the aluminum surface without repeating activation and zincal conversion plural times.
SOLUTION: The surface of an aluminum terminal 12 formed on a substrate 11 is forcedly heated by a high-output oxygen plasma device in an oxidation stage to form an oxide film 13. The oxide film 13 is etched with an aq. soln. of trisodium phosphate or tripotassium phosphate in a surface roughening stage, hence anisotropic etching proceeds selectively from the grain boundary of aluminum to form innumerable protrusions 12a on the aluminum terminal 12 in high density, the surface is roughened, and the depositing property and adhesion of the zinc crystal grain 14 are enhanced.
