PURPOSE: To provide a method for preserving cooked and processed foods containing fats and oils wherein with respect to the cooked and processed foods containing fats and oils which are under conditions such that fats and oils which have been heated and cooked are liable to be oxidized and deteriorated and packaging material having light-shielding property is not desirable from the viewpoint of the quality of commodities, such problems about preserving methods can be solved and a transparent packing material, through which contents can be see, can be used and further decomposition and oxidation of fats and oils can be avoided so that foods can be preserved for a long period.
CONSTITUTION: Cooked and processed foods containing fats and oils, particularly subsidiary foods, which have been heated and cooked and hence have become liable to be oxidized and deteriorated are sealed in anon-air permeable, transparent packaging container together with a deoxidizing agent and heated for preservation.
