Abstract:
To provide a method by which bishydroxamic acid can simply and industrially be produced.
The method for producing the bishydroxamic acid represented by formula (I) (wherein, Rs represent each a substituted or an unsubstituted lower alkyl group, a substituted or an unsubstituted cycloalkyl group or a substituted or an unsubstituted aryl group) is carried out as follows. An N,N'-dihydroxy-1,2-diaminocyclohexane or a salt thereof is reacted with a carboxylic acid halide in the presence of a base in a mixed solvent of water with an aprotic organic solvent.
