To provide a new candle enabling mass production from a wax material comprising a new composition by molding while retaining both a burning quality and a feature which are excellent characteristics of Japanese candles, and simultaneously forming a recess at the bottom.

This candle includes a body molded using a combustible wax material with a wick embedded therein, which wick sucks the wax material molten by heating for burning. The candle body is formed from a wax material including 20-60 wt.% of Japan tallow derived from seeds of Rhus succedanea, 10-30 wt.% of a fatty acid, and 20-60 wt.% of a paraffin.
