Abstract:
To provide a method of converting iodine atom of an organoiodine compound having an iodine atom directly bonding to the carbon of a carbon-carbon double bond into a carboxylic acid fluoride using 2-difluoromethoxy-4-nitropyridine.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a carboxylic acid fluoride, a method for producing a carboxylic acid fluoride directly bonding to the carbon forming a carbon-carbon double bond, which is characterized by a reaction of 2-(difluoromethoxy)-5-nitropyridine with an organoiodine compound containing an iodine atom directly bonding to the carbon forming a carbon-carbon double bond in the presence of a palladium catalyst, a phosphine ligand and an alkali metal fluoride, is used.SELECTED DRAWING: None
