Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a cellulose fatty acid ester fibrous structure with which practical color fastness to dyeing can be obtained while retaining gloss and a touch feeling of fibers in the cellulose fatty acid ester fibers.

The method for producing the cellulose fatty acid ester fibrous structure is characterized as follows. A fibrous structure using fibers consisting essentially of a cellulose ester in which at least a part of acyl groups are 3-18C acyl groups is printed with a paste regulated to pH4.5-7.5 and containing 0.01-30% owp of a disperse dye and then subjected to a steaming color developing treatment under atmospheric pressure. The resultant fibrous structure is subsequently washed with an aqueous solution regulated to pH10.0-12.0 with a salt composed of an alkali metal hydroxide and/or a weak acid or a strong base and containing a reducing agent at ≤70°C.
