Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a chain-molecular organic thiophene-phenylene oligomer represented by general formula (I).

In this method for producing a chain-molecular organic thiophene-phenylene oligomer, a compound represented by general formula (II) and another compound represented by general formula (III) are allowed to react with each other, for example, they are subjected to the Suzuki coupling reaction. This reaction may be carried out in the presence of a catalyst or in a solution and/or at a high temperature according to circumstances. The resultant chain-molecular organic thiophene-phenylene oligomer can be used for preparing a semiconductor coating.
