Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a color filter having excellent performance with respect to image properties such as fineness and sharpness of pixels in a reasonable and economical way and for producing a color filter adaptable to a large-sized liquid crystal display.
The method for producing a color filter is characterized in that a colored film is formed on a color filter substrate by applying ink onto the substrate through a film having circular openings corresponding to colored pixels which may include a black matrix and then the film having the circular openings is removed.
