Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a copolymer which is based on a vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene and has low ordinary temperature flow, high processability and good mechanical characteristics.
This method for producing a copolymer based on a vinylaromatic compound and a conjugated diene, characterized by polymerizing the copolymer based on the vinylaromatic compound and the conjugated diene and then treating the copolymer with a multi-functional sulfur halide in the presence of a catalyst at a temperature within a range of 20 to 130°C.
