Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene film superior in productivity using an industrially producible ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyolefin as a starting material.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an ethylene-based polymer film, which comprises: (i) a step of preparing a rolled sheet by rolling an ethylene-based polymer having an average particle diameter of 10 to 2000 μm, an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 10 to 50 dL/g as measured in a decalin solution at 135°C and a crystallization degree of 80% or more with a pair of rolls which have rotational axis parallel to each other and rotate in mutually reverse directions; and (ii) a step of biaxially stretching the rolled sheet.
