To provide a method that makes it possible to produce a fermented alcoholic beverage that is colorless and transparent or has a reduced content of purine bodies or carbohydrates.SOLUTION: A method for producing fermented alcoholic beverage includes the step of bringing a fermented alcoholic beverage raw material into contact with activated carbon for activated carbon treatment, the amount of the activated carbon used herein being 0.01 pt.mass or more with respect to 100 pts.mass of the fermented alcoholic beverage raw material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
