To provide a method for producing a foamed resin molded member by which, when a foamed resin molding is fitted to a mating member, the immersion of a fitting part into the body part of the molding caused by pressurization upon the fitting is avoided and the obstruction of the weight reduction of the foamed resin molding is also avoided.
A foamed resin molding X is molded which includes: a molding body part Xa in which foam cells are grown by packing a foamable resin in a melted state into a molding die; and a fixing part Xb projecting from the peripheral part of an opening 80 formed at the peripheral part of the molding body part Xa and/or the molding body part Xa, and in which the growth of the foam cells is suppressed. By pressuring the fitting part Xb of the foamed resin molding X against the mating member Y, the foamed resin molding X is fitted to the mating member Y via the fitting part Xb. As a result, the reaction force of the pressurization is received by a skin layer Xc having a resin density and strength higher than those of the molding body part Xa, and the fitting part Xb is supported by the skin layer Xc against the reaction force of the pressurization.
