To easily produce a liquid sample enabling a prescribed component analysis to be carried out precisely wherein particulate materials (PMs) captured by a filter are effectively extracted without being affected by interfering substances and the like nor probabilities of losing a portion of component.
The PMs are captured by the filter which is made up by laminating a perforated nonwoven fabric on a fluororesin porous thin film at one surface side to reinforce it. Then, a filter fragment 3a which is a portion of the filter and whose mass and size are measured, is attached to the internal surface of a tubular vessel 9 containing a nitric acid water solution, and the tubular vessel 9 is supplied with ultrasonic vibrations, thereby detaching captured PMs from the filter fragment 3a and producing a solution 14 wherein the PMs are suspended. The produced solution 14 is used as the liquid sample to be introduced into an ICP emission spectrophotometer.
