Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a liquid softener composition causing no thickening of its own under long-term storage just after produced, and capable of preventing components therein from crystallization.
The method for producing the liquid softener composition comprises a step A of preparing a solution of pH 2-5 at 30C comprising a cationic softener base and water, a step B of adjusting the pH of the solution to 6-9 at 30C by adding hydroxides or carbonates of an alkali metal and an alkaline earth metal to the solution, and a step C of adjusting the pH of the solution to 2-5 at 30C by adding an inorganic or organic acid to the solution obtained in the step B.
