METHOD FOR PRODUCING OFFSET PRINTING PLATE ACCORDING TO SILVER SALT DIFFUSION TRANSFER METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing an offset printing plate which complies with a DTR method and has good printing characteristics, for example, high printing resistance, good ink receptive property in printed parts and ink non-receptive property (without toning) in the non-printed parts, the less number of copies which need be discarded for the purpose of the ink receptive property (so called staining) in the non-printed parts at the time of starting of the printing stage and the preservable property of such printing plate after preserving the printing plate over some hours.
CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the offset printing plate, in accordance with the silver salt diffusion transfer method, includes steps of exposing and developing an image-forming element including, (i) image receiving layers and (ii) photosensitive layers contg. photosensitive silver halide emulsions in this stated order on the hydrophilic surface of a base; removing one or more layers on the apexes of the image-receiving layers to expose the image-forming surface of the base; and processing the exposed image-forming surface of the base with a finishing agent, having temp. between 30 and 60°C.
