To provide an advantageous method for producing an optically active hydrazine compound and optically active amine compound by developing an asymmetric nucleophilic addition reaction to an azo compound by an asymmetric non-metal catalyst and showing less load for environment.
This method for producing the optical hydrazine compound (IV) is characterized by reacting the azo compound (II) with a compound (III) in the presence of an asymmetric thiourea compound (I), and the method for producing the optically active amine compound (V) is characterized by reducing the nitrogen-nitrogen bond of the compound (IV) [wherein, C*, etc., are each an asymmetric carbon; R1, R2 are each a lower alkyl or the like; R4, R5 together may form a cyclohexane, etc.; R3 is an aryl which may have a substituent; R6, R7 are each H or the like; R8 is an aryl which may have a substituent; R9, R10 are each an electron-withdrawing group; and PG is a protective group].
