Abstract:
To provide a photographic element, a recoding medium and an image forming element with a protective overcoat having resistance to fingerprints, ordinary stains and spilling of solution and to provide an overcoat which is permeable to water during image formation but waterproof in a final processed product.
The overcoat contains polyurethane particles in a gelatin- containing matrix before image formation. After image formation, this overcoat is heat-fused and a waterproof continuous protective overcoat which imparts excellent scratch and spill resistances is formed.
