Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a high purity polyether polycarbonate by simple operations, efficiently reducing reaction by-products such as phenol.
The method for producing the polyether polycarbonate by reacting a carbonic ester with a polyether diol in a reactor provided with a stirring blade includes a step of reducing the weight-average molecular weight of the produced polyether polycarbonate by conducting the reaction under such stirring condition that the required driving power of stirring per unit volume falls within a range of more than 25 kW/m3 and 200 kW/m3 or less.
