To obtain a powder coating material which can easily be obtained without undergoing a long and complicated production step and, simultaneously, without the possibility of causing gelation when produced and, it addition, the powder coating material thus produced which can form a coating film having excellent smoothness without causing the defect of the coating film such as foaming and a pinhole.
This method for producing a powder coating material comprises subjecting powder coating stock solution containing (A) a resin as a main agent having a curing reactive group which is solid at normal temperature, (B) a curing agent which can react with the curing reactive group of the group of the resin (A) as the main agent and is solid at normal temperature, and (C) an organic solvent as the essential constituting components to spray drying at a temperature which substantially does not cause the reaction between the resin (A) as the main agent and the curing agent (B).
