Abstract:

To obtain a nucleating agent for crystalline thermoplastic resin which increases the rate of crystalli-zation of the crystalline thermoplastic resins and, in addition, can produce a molded product (a crystalline thermoplastic resin composition) having excellent mechanical properties, and a crystalline thermoplastic resin composition.

The nucleating agent for thermoplastic resins comprises a rosin acid amide derivative represented by the formula: X-Y-Z-D (wherein X is a rosin acid residue; Y is CONH; Z is a carboxyphenylene group or its metal salt; D is hydrogen atom or an organic group represented by Y-X), and the crystalline thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by incorporating (B) 0.001-30 pts.wt., nucleating agent into (A) 100 pts.wt., crystalline thermoplastic resin.
