Abstract:

To provide a useful method for producing a quinuclidine derivative having an excellent inhibitory action on a squalene synthase.

This method is to produce a compound represented by formula (7a) (wherein R11 and R12, which are different from each other, are each hydrogen or hydroxy; and R13 and R14, which are different from each other, are each hydrogen or methoxy), and comprises coupling a compound represented by formula (5a) (wherein R11, R12, R13, and R14 are as defined hereinabove; and X is a halogen atom) with a compound represented by formula (6a) in the presence of a palladium catalyst.
