To produce a sheet with cocoon pieces, without losing peculiar shape and color of the cocoon, and having designing property and functionality by utilizing its characteristics such as gas adsorbability, moisture-absorbing/desorbing property, UV-cutting, antibacterial property, etc., of the cocoon, also produce the sheet with the cocoon pieces, capable of attaching the cocoon without peeling off over a long period and making it flexible irrespective to the attachment of the cocoon, and also scattering the cocoon pieces uniformly over the sheet, burying the cocoon pieces as capable of being observed, and installing the cocoon pieces in a state of without peeling off and appearing beautiful.
This method for producing the sheet with the cocoon pieces by burying the cocoon pieces so that the cocoon pieces can be observed on the surface, comprises a cutting process of cutting the cocoon into the sheet state of small pieces to prepare the cocoon pieces, a slurry-preparing process for dispersing the cocoon pieces and an organic fiber including silk into water to form the slurry and a papermaking process of papermaking the slurry obtained in the slurry-preparing process for producing the sheet burying the cocoon pieces in the organic fiber.
