To provide a method for producing a sliver using a used batting of Futon, enabling a carding treatment as a premise that a fiber is produced by using used Futon as a raw material and capable of producing the strong and uniform fiber.

The skin and binding thread of the used Futon are removed, batting 7 of Futon is taken out and subjected to opening treatment by an opener. The opened batting 7 of Futon is laminated to a polyester fiber 19 to form a laminate of 65 wt.% of the batting 7 of Futon and 35 wt.% of the polyester fiber 19. The laminate is mixed by a mixer 21 and subjected to carding treatment by a condenser card 35 to give a sliver 38.
