Abstract:
To provide a wet-laid nonwoven fabric containing polyphenylene sulfide fibers which is hardly causing paper break when produced by a wet papermaking method, sufficiently securing specific tensile strength of the nonwoven fabric, and excellent in chemical resistance.SOLUTION: A wet-laid nonwoven fabric containing PPS fibers of this invention comprises only polyphenylene sulfide fibers and contains polyphenylene sulfide fibers having a variant cross section and has a weight of 20 g/mor more and 200 g/mor less, wherein the content of the polyphenylene sulfide fibers having the variant cross section is preferably 10 mass% or more based on the total fiber content.SELECTED DRAWING: None
